Hobby Time Keratex 5m Modelling Bandage

The Hobby Time Keratex 5m Modelling Bandage from the Modelling Accessories range provides a high quality plaster bandage for modelling. Plaster modelling bandages are also known as mod rock. This plaster modelling bandage is 100mm wide and 5m long.

A fabric impregnated with a synthetic plaster. Can be used for fabrication of masks, model car bodies, model boats or aircraft parts. May also be used for model railway scenery. Simply dip in water for a few seconds, press out excess water and apply to the object you wish to mould from, pressing firmly into place. Subsequent layers need not be wetted, as the first layer will provide all the moisture required. Small objects can be made from as little as two layers; larger items may need 6-8 layers. Final smoothing may be done with Ceramic Moulding Compound, applied with a spatula. Can also be used to make female mould. Available in two packages.
